  • Estate contracts are carefully guarded, as each is different depending on the size and value of the estate. Which is a vague answer no on likes. To put it simply, we need to hit a specific amount to pay for the expenses of services provided. This will be carefully laid out for you BEFORE a contract is signed so you can make decisions based on true scenario of your unique situation and NOT a blanket formula.

  • Again, all auctions are subject to the products provided by the estate. However, a 2%fee is charged by most auction sites we have to use, as well as fees for each “lot” as is defined by the auction sites used. That is prior to our percentage fees and lot fee.

  • We have done sales where people have set up everything on their own and just wanted us to come in and do the pricing. However, this option is not without problems. We have to make sure that items are secure and create no danger to the patrons. Set-up must also be aesthetically pleasing and the prices must be set by our company. We charge 30.00/hr for pricing with a minimum of 4 hrs. Yes this pricing product option is available for garage sales as well.

  • Cache For Cash is one of the best priced liquidation services for the amount of expertise you get. But if you still feel like you need to cut down on the services, the best way to do that is to cut the hours of our employees by cleaning any obvious areas of problems. If you have pet messes, soil build-up on products, chemical spills, wild-animal invasions, mold–these are added costs for cleaning that can often be eliminated by pre-contract clean-up.

  • Unforeseen circumstances happen and occasionally a cancellation of contract is necessary. The amount of work, time, advertising, and pay wage loss will be taken into consideration and a final bill for services rendered will be due at time of contract annulment.

  • The short answer is no. Most often, it is impossible to know what someone is willing to pay for, and throwing the proverbial baby out with the bathwater is a common occurrence when families try to help a liquidation company by sorting through things. For example, that old wrapping paper you tossed in the trash could be a vintage roll of a unique pattern someone was willing to pay 25.00 for. Having said that, if you are talking about house cleaning an estate, we leave that up to you. We don’t mind dirt and dust, but if there is a home with pungent smells and aged feces smeared across the carpet, added clean up fees could apply.

  • Yes. We have air freshening options that can help these types of sales do well.

  • Most estate sale and auction finances clear through the bank in 10-14days. Once all payments have cleared and no attempt at a CC dispute is made, the check is sent out to the payable parties.

  • Once the contract is signed, a percentage of all items in the house are promised to the liquidation company. This does not include items that we mentioned as lost or missing that we attempt to find for you while setting up the sale. Any item that is taken from the sale prior to the sale will be subject to a 50% fee of the market value of the item.

  • We’ve never understood the pre-clean-out contract before a sale is finished. Our goal is to sell everything and the closer we get to that goal, the cheaper the clean-out gets! We can try to give you a ballpark range but truly, to maximize your profit, we can’t sign a contract to clean-out based on the future.

  • Typically, we hold our sales on Wednesday and Thursday with an additional Friday for larger sales. Sales with an exceptionally large amount may have to be done in phases that can span over a few weeks.

  • Depends on our current schedule as well as the amount of product. On average we like to have 3 weeks.

  • Some items are tough to sell, high-end items, niche collectibles, large furniture items etc. These items are offered up for presale and sometimes sold on auction sights when applicable.

  • We utilize Estate Sale Websites, Facebook Marketplace (as well as Facebook Ads sent to locals), Instagram and local markets, even fliers if they prove necessary.
